Resources

We launched our new website on January 1, 2025. We have not published all information we intend to provide for our community on the website – including the Resources we plan to provide to assist you in the months and years to come. We have included a list of planned resources below – as we add these resources to the website, we will link the items in this list to the appropriate sections or pages. If you have suggestions or recommendations for information you would like us to provide in this Resources Section, please email us at info@henryyouthlax.org. Thank you!

  • FAQs: visit our FAQs section for answers to the most frequently asked questions we receive.
  • Policies: visit our Policies Section for quick access to the policies we use to manage HYL. These Policies include our General Policy (updated for 2025), Parent/Player/Coaches Codes of Conduct, Refund Policy, Game Day Policy, Inclement Weather Policy, and more.
  • New Player/Parent Resources: If you are just starting out with lacrosse, you’ll want to visit our New Player/Parent Resources Page. In addition to some of the other resources listed here, this page specifically addresses much of the information you will be looking for as a parent of a new player (or as a new player).
  • Equipment Resources: Visit our Equipment Resources Page for detailed information on the required and optional equipment for Boys and Girls lacrosse, as well as for our “Little Laxers” program or camps/clinics we may host. We will also include recommendations on the best places to purchase equipment – along with information on our “Gear Bank” program, where we collected donated gear or purchase discounted gear that we make available to new players for free or at a significant discount, to help reduce the total cost of equipping your player for lacrosse.
  • Uniform Resources: We want to make sure our players get a uniform that fits them well. Before placing your uniform order for the first time, please visit our Uniform Resources Page for more information on our uniforms, including sizing guides and general guidance from our coaches.
  • Coaching Resources: Visit our Coaching Resources Page for a variety of resources we’ve collected to assist our volunteer coaches with practice planning, game management, certification and continuing education options, and more.
  • History of Lacrosse: If you are interested in learning more about the origins and history of the sport of lacrosse, please visit our History of Lacrosse Resource Page.
  • Rules & Safety Resources: If you are interested in learning more about the rules of lacrosse for Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse, Box Lacrosse, “Sixes” Lacrosse, or other versions of the game we may participate in, please visit our Rules & Safety Resources Page.
  • Lacrosse Camps and Clinics: If you are interested in learning more about Camps and Clinics that may be offered in our area, please check our Lacrosse Camps and Clinics Resource Page. We intend to update this page as often as possible – especially during the mid-to-late spring, when we receive information for many of the summer camps offered in our region.
  • Lacrosse Clubs and Travel Teams: There are MANY different options for playing lacrosse outside of our recreational programs. We are working on a comprehensive list of Clubs and Travel Team options in the Metro Atlanta area – as well as some regional programs, in the event you are interested in learning more.
  • HYL’s Favorite Things: There is no shortage of lacrosse-related products and services available for players to use throughout their lacrosse journey. Some are worth the investment (and some are not). HYL’s coaches have extensive experience trying many of these products and services – and when we find things we like (or don’t like), we will update our list of “Favorite Things” to help you discover some of these items for your use.
  • High School Lacrosse: Interested in learning more about high school lacrosse in the Greater Henry County area? Visit our High School Lacrosse Resources Page for an overview of the high school lacrosse scene, including information on established teams in our area, efforts to start new programs, or guidance for getting a new program going at your school.
  • And Much More! We plan to continue adding Resources to our website in even more areas related to lacrosse. Again, if you have suggestions or requests for Resources you would like us to add to the website, please share via email at info@henryyouthlax.org.

Thank You For Your Interest AND Patience!

We are working on many of these resources and hope to add items quickly over the next few months. If you are looking for information we haven’t published yet, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to provide additional information or answer any questions you may have.
